We offer two convenient clinic locations: Gympie and Noosaville. Our dedicated occupational therapy team is here to provide comprehensive therapies and assessments through in-clinic sessions.
The Therapy Process
Occupational therapy with children often looks just like play, however the play activities are very carefully selected in order to promote specific skills and achieve set goals. Parents and caregivers are central to the therapy process and are encouraged to attend sessions and be involved.
A block of therapy sessions (at home/school or clinic) will often be recommended for children who need help developing skills that are hindering their daily participation in childhood activities.
Therapy support may also include:
-
School visit/collaboration with teachers to advocate and make recommendations to help with school.
-
Recommendations of specialised tools and equipment which can help make daily tasks easier.
-
Parent/caregiver coaching and counselling.
-
Referral to other support services.
